When I ventured into entrepreneurship over 20 years ago, I had zero sales or leadership experience. Within a few years, Thirty-One exploded into one of the nation’s largest direct sales companies, and I was leading a multimillion-dollar team that numbered in the tens of thousands. When I was growing my business, my husband, Jason, and I were also raising our three kids. It felt like I was working non-stop and chasing the kids 24/7/365. I developed many of the tools I use out of sheer survival, and now I’m happy to share them so you can experience what expert systems and strategies can do!

People often ask about the heron in my logo—herons have held a special meaning for me for quite some time.
Living on the lake here in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, we’ve seen a lot of herons over the years. (There’s one that came around so often, my dad named him Harry)
My parents live in South Carolina, where there are lots of herons. My dad loves sending me pictures of the herons he sees, and I do the same in return. That shared connection with the herons means a lot to my heart as their daughter.
When we recently moved to our new house, I woke up the first morning to a heron on our dock. It felt like a sign from above—we were in the right place.
